Well Jen first of all sincere apologies for the delay in responding to your comment/ query, never the less if the case demands the removal of the tooth only then, will it be necessary to remove the impacted tooth surgically. I am sure the doctor whom you will consult will be able to verify your records and suggest the best treatment option suited for you. In case removal is not required then probably the tooth could be brought into alignment by different means.
