Este estudio de ha desarrollado para evaluar la confiabilidad de la MP3 (la falange media del 3er. dedo) y su relación con los estadios de maduración esqueletica, relacionándolo con los estadios de maduración vertebral CVMI. Se tomaron 160 radiografías en niños sanos provenientes del norte de la india (80 masculinos y 80 femeninas) entre las edades de 8 a 16 anos; se coleccionaron los estadios de MP3 mediante radiografías, combinadas con radiografías dentales y radiografías laterales de cráneo para observar el estadio de CVMI.
