This is the first article in a series, detailing the use of Invisalign® in complicated, comprehensive treatment. First, I must emphasize that Invisalign® is a technique, not a treatment. Invisalign utilizes a series of custom made plastic aligners pressing directly on the teeth rather than a series of wires pressing against brackets to transfer pressure to the teeth.

Invisalign is a new treatment method utilizing computer virtual treatments to create a series of clear, removable, esthetic appliances that can treat a wide range of malocclusions. Presented here are two cases with lower incisor crowding, the first was treated with interproximal reduction and the second was treated by extracting a lower right lateral incisor.
